I\u2019m a music teacher. I teach piano, guitar, voice and songwriting (which eventually turns into co-writing).&nbsp;<\/p><p>At one point, I had 60 students. That\u2019s 60 different people that I would get to watch, as they learned different concepts, week after week.&nbsp;<\/p><p>My youngest student was five years old.&nbsp;<\/p><p>My oldest student?&nbsp;<\/p><p>74.<\/p><p>I\u2019m a music \u201cteacher,\u201d but I don\u2019t feel like I \u201cteach\u201d all day, every day. I present people with information, and then I watch, as they absorb it.<\/p><p>After all the lessons I\u2019ve taught and all the different kinds of students that I have encountered, I started realizing a prevalent fact:&nbsp;<\/p><p>It Didn\u2019t Matter How <em>Smart<\/em>, <em>Young<\/em>, or <em>Talented <\/em>A Person Was.<\/p><p>What mattered the most was the <em>kind <\/em>of person they were.<\/p><p>What does that mean?&nbsp;<\/p><p>In my experience&#8230;(continued here: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/posts\/why-attitude-is-39073001\">https:\/\/www.patreon.com\/posts\/why-attitude-is-39073001)<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I watch people learn.
